From Jayne's former colleague, Josephine Hutchinson

I was shocked to read of Jayne's death in the Bulletin.
Many years ago, when I was training at Central, I was Jayne's student and did a block placement with her at her then hospital (I forget the name for the moment - maybe Haringey). She was running these amazing stroke groups and I was incredibly impressed. We shared a birthday but that was all. She was obviously an impressive therapist even then - this would have been about 1980-ish, and I thought she was wonderful. At this time, as a hobby, she was doing something with whirling dervishes and I can remember laughing immoderately as she told me her stories. It was a great placement and we had a ball. However, I couldn't really keep up with her energy (not to mention intellect), even though I was two years younger.
Since then we kept in touch to start with and then life took over and I moved out of London. I regret that I haven't seen her for many years but I never forgot her and was always pleased to read about her latest venture - until this week
