Journey for Jayne

Some of my will know this already, but I've decided to do my bit in memory of Jayne. I'm doing a sponsored walk from New York to San Francisco, which is a little over 3,000 miles and will take me about six months starting from mid to late June. This is to raise money for the Association for International Cancer Research. It will also be an opportunity for me to come to terms a bit more with Jayne's death and decide where I want to go from here. I've called it Journey for Jayne.

I'm trying to get lots of media coverage both here and in the US, and if anyone has any ideas or contacts they'd be very welcome. I'm also looking for commercial sponsors (particularly suppliers of outdoor equipment). I've done interviews with both my local papers and raised £1,400 towards my target of £10,000.

I'm aware that many of you have already given generously to the fund in memory of Jayne at the hospice, but I know from the seven months of Jayne's illness that compassion fatigue is not something any of you suffer from! So please give generously. You can donate online now, or pledge to pay me a fixed amount if and when I complete the walk, by visiting www.justgiving.com/uswalk.

Thank you very much.
